Make that 3 in a Row!

The high school girls cross country team won their third meet in a row on Thursday at Honey Creek Golf Course down in Moravia. The Bravettes had their top 5 runners place in the top 10 even!


Junior, Elise Boulton won the meet in a time of 22:48. Freshmen, MJ Johnannes and Mia Boulton finished 3rd and 6th. Junior, Carmen Klos was 9th and sophomore, Haley VanDerHart was 10th. Coming in at 13th was senior, Carissa Vanzee.


On the boys side, there were some competitive finishes. Juniors, Brydon Henning and Brayden Stockman crossed the line placing 4th and 5th. Stockman was pushing hard but Henning brought the foot speed. These two had out-run multiple runners that had beat them on Tuesday. Freshman, Colton Benson ended up as the number three runner for the Braves with senior, Zach Templeton right on his heels.

Up next, the full team will be back together again racing at Clear Creek Amana on Monday, September 30th at 4:30PM.
